No, we are not estate agents. We act solely
for buyers, tenants and employers. We do co-ordinate the sale or
rent of properties for clients with estate agents. We search for
the right property to buy or rent, independent of vendor or owner

If I use your services, do I have to pay the estate agent fees?
No, the buyer does not pay for the fees of
an estate agent. There is no brokerage system in the UK. However,
the Scottish conveyancing system differs from that of England. It
provides greater certainty of completing a house purchase.

Who
pays your fees?
We act on a retained basis for our clients
and it is they who pay our fees

areas do you cover?
Central Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh and East Anglia including Cambridge

What
does your service cost?
Our fees vary depending on the size of the
family relocating and whether they are relocating from within the
UK or overseas.

Why
do we need Artemis when we can find a property ourselves?
You don't. If you have time, access to properties
not openly on the market, in-depth local knowledge, the negotiating
expertise and technical, legal and financial knowledge of the English and Scottish
property system, you can do it yourself.

Can
you advise me on Solicitors and finance?
Yes we can provide a wide range of introductions
to good quality professionals.

Where
do you go to find property?
We often find properties through letting agents
and estate agents who value working with us. They provide their
best properties because we provide quality tenants and buyers. We
also have an extensive portfolio of private owners who will contact
us first before instructing an estate or letting agent. This makes
obvious savings for all involved. That is why we are frequently
told about new properties before they reach the open market.

Are
there Estate Agents and Letting Agents to avoid?
Yes, particularly in residential letting.
We only deal with tried and tested letting agents.

How
long does it take to find a property?
Our record to date for an international move
is 6 days. Obviously it depends on whether you intend to purchase
or rent. To locate the perfect house to buy can take a while depending
on your requirements, but we will ensure you are in excellent temporary
accommodation pending your purchase. The Scottish legal system,
however, offers greater certainty to cash buyers than the English
system.
