“Artemis has supported our start up company through it’s recruitment campaign in two major areas: attraction and relocation.
We operate in an industry where skills are scarce and employees
have global options. Our company had thus developed a sophisticated recruitment campaign supported by a ‘best in class’
employment package to attract people in this tough market. One risk that we soon realised would need minimising was that
people outside of the region had negative perceptions about Glasgow and the surrounding area. This fear was born out in early feedback from
potential candidates.
Another was a more common one – in that people would be
relocating to the region and that this domestic upheaval always reduces people’s effectiveness in the first few months of a new job.
Artemis offered a service that would counter these risks and has proved
to be successful in the implementation.
Attraction
As part of the recruitment process, candidates that are invited to 2nd
interview are offered a familiarisation tour that is tailored to the candidate and the families needs.
Feedback from employees that have used this service indicates
that this was a significant factor in overcoming misconceptions and was a driver in defining our company as their preferred employer despite other
job offers. Most have commented that this service said something about the type of employer we would be – caring, people focused and
professional.
Relocation

In providing a familiarisation and home search service, Artemis has
benefited our company in several ways:
1. Moving people into rented accommodation quickly so as to avoid extended stays in hotels has reduced cost.
2. Our already busy support team have been able to concentrate on other tasks whilst Artemis manage this process.
3. New employees are working at full capacity more quickly as they are not wasting time with domestic arrangements in a strange town.
4. New employees are claiming that the reduced stress on their domestic and family lives is enabling them to settle into their jobs quickly and effectively.”
